Description

The Mook is built upon an entirely different ideology than conventional frames, for a completely different skating experience. The Mook is a frame that takes its core as serious as the wheels it houses. Grinding, sliding, and planting are now priorities, not afterthoughts.

MASSIVE CENTER SURFACE AREA

The Mook allows you to grind or slide in any direction, because the majority of its underside is unrestricted, multidirectional plastic. For the first time you can experiment with grinds at different angular degrees, or leave linear grinding altogether and allow the Mook to exploit new circular techniques. The Mook's vast underside also opens a whole new world of stalls, steps, and fast-plants. It lets you grind larger objects than other frames, meeting obstacles that even your anti-rocker wheels and grind-blocks get caught up on.

The Mook also performs incredibly well on regular skating terrain such as rails and coping. Instead of "locking on" like more traditional set-ups, the Mook "sets in", as its groove is shaped to lead the user into the center.

The inwardly contoured frame walls fall short of the frame's overall width. This was done to create a more single pointed contact for Royale, Backslide, and Fastslide-style tricks, as well as a way to eliminate most of the friction incurred during Soul and Topside tricks

Like the contoured sidewalls, every square millimeter of the Xsjado frame has a purpose. The beveled perimeter of the frames lower portion has been tailored to accentuate Cess-slides. In fact, an unmounted Xsjado frame can stand balanced by itself in a perfect Cess position.

Another one of the Mook's subtle refinements is its wheel fairings. The material closest to the wheel protrudes lower than the rest of the frame enhancing the flow of the grinding area, but also providing a smooth transition to the wheels instead of a harsh angle like other frames.

What this all means is that the Mook enhances your current tricks with new refinements, makes previously unskate-able landscapes skate-able, previously unthinkable tricks possible, and in turn makes your current mundane skating environment fresh again.

LIGHT-WEIGHT AND STRONG

The Mook revolution does not stop at skating applications. While making a frame without two inner wheels (which act as additional shock absorbing points) is more challenging, we have tested the Mook so thoroughly that the frame is now virtually indestructible(untill grinded down).

And it is our aspiration to make it even stronger.

In skating, wheels have chunked, skates have broken, and frames have cracked. But because of the radical Xsjado concept, the Mook will beostracized for every one out of one thousand frames that have problems. So it has been our mission to not only make this frame on par with the strength of other frames, but to exceed them.

The Mook's body is reinforced internally with crossing columns that help it to withstand impacts that make solid frames split. These x-type columns have gone through several modifications based on test-feedback and allow the Mook to utilize less material on its inside, resulting in an overall lighter frame. Less bearings, less axles, less spacers, and less material give you a simpler, more direct skating experience (click here for photo).

We do not believe that a replaceable h-block is necessary or even useful on a replaceable frame. Xsjado frames are one injection-molded piece designed to be light, strong, and fast. To accomplish the latter we needed a material that could withstand impacts like a conventional frame material, but at the same time, would slide as if it were a slick h-block. We use a new special material (which we have dubbed CS1) that we have not seen on any other frames. One session in these frames will sell you on the material, the concepts and skating all over again.

EASY AND CONVENIENT

The Mook does not use cumbersome bearing or frame spacers. Instead, everything that you need has been molded into the frame. The only bolts you will need are the wheel axles and the UFS attachments. Within seconds (rather than minutes) you can change out frames and be back on the asphalt again.

The Mook is your new weapon for the concrete world. It is pure freedom. When you have the quickest, most versatile, expansive, and strongest frame under your boot, no other compares. The Mook is the first coup in the revolution.

Xsjado - You now have the right to evolve.

Strongest Mook to Date July 31, 2007
Reviewer: Ryan Loewy from Brookfield, CT United States
The material in this frame is very, very hard, which permits it to slide fast and wear slow. It holds up very well against large gaps and stair rides. This is without a doubt the strongest Mook to date (along with the 1.6 frame). The only negative about the frame is the wear. I mentioned that it wears slowly, which also means that it takes a while for the frame to groove. I have skated these frames on a some what light basis, only skating 3 or 4 times a week, since September, and they aren't even worn half-way. If you want a solid freestyle frame with no hassles, no bells and whistles, and no frills, the Mook frame is the frame for you.

They have there goods and bads.
  Good
You hardly ever get caught up on ledges or rails...You can do just about any size rail or ledge and not have to worry...They slide well and are very strong iv had mine for years, not skatin everyday though.
 Bad
Are terrible at locking on and if you do and you start to loose ur balance they sleep off...They're good for a couple months, but  ledges and such wear away the middle makin it more even so you sleep off easy

Suck July 16, 2007
Reviewer: Roller from MA United States
These frames suck really bad not good for rails do not lock on at all and if u do get on u end up leanin to far back but the only good thing about them is that they slide really good and another thing the  plastic next to the wheel is so low to the ground that once your wheels hit a certain size they start grinding against the ground which means new wheels or older wheels that fit the frame  i would not recommend these for people that like to do alot of handrails or hanicaps but for people that like ledges
